Hi, I’m Sjobor. I started this blog as a way to help museums and other cultural organizations think about the way they communicate and work with their communities, and I’m out to explore visitor studies, social media, evaluation, and education.

I practically grew up at my local museum, so I know the difficulties inherent in being a community organization: small budgets, smaller staffs, and limited audiences, among other issues. I also understand the power and necessity of creating and keeping tight-knit communities, and how the ability to share and tell meaningful stories can determine the organization’s success or failure. 

My hope is, through this blog, to be able to show off the heart and ingenuity of museums and educational organizations, and explore they ways we can improve.  

From time to time, I’ll talk about other topics that interest me, including politics, etiquette, and other oddities that come with being human.
